Mulberry are patently taking a leaf out of the Burberry bible by establishing a strong link with the contemporary music scene. A very smart move by a very smart fashion brand.
Mulberry may be synonymous with luggage and accessories, but to industry insiders it also has a strong affinity with music. This season the brand is touring with a host of indie bands, starting with Kasabian who will play at the label’s 40th birthday party in New York.
The Mix Tape Tour will then head back to the UK in time for London Fashion Week, where The Hurts will play alongside electro-indie band Hot Chip.
Mulberry has long been a fan of music, having previously hosted performances from Florence & The Machine, Friendly Fires, Sunday, Eliza Doolittle and Ellie Goulding.
