The Stussy Summer 2011 collection includes a series of t-shirts by animator JJ Villard. A graduate of CalArts, JJ has worked on huge Hollywood films such as Shrek the Third, Shrek Forever After and Monsters vs. Aliens before landing his current gig at Cartoon Network Adult Swim. personal work is drastically different from the high profile projects he typically works on. Inspired by pop culture, horror films and things of a darker nature, JJ used the idea of a sketchbook to inspire his tees. Using pens, pencils and markers, he created a series of t-shirts that capture the rawness of what a sketchbook is all about.

A strong affinity exists between Ransom Holding Co and Stussy in terms of their respective backgrounds and design languages. It seemed only natural when the Ransom by adidas Originals crew worked with Stussy Japan to create the Alan Crepe- a completely new silhouette for spring/summer 2011. This shoe features a short-coated single-layer suede upper with perforated forefoot, a crepe outsole and a heel branded with the Stussy and Ransom icons on the lateral side and the adidas logo on the pull-tabs. Celebrate originality.
For Summer 2011, Stussy and W-Base from Shibuya, Tokyo have joined forces on the “How I Roll” 26 inch old school BMX original model bike. This cruiser type style is built after the late 1970’s/early 1980’s flavor dirt bike and is packed with details. The frame is made from 4130CR-MO, metallic blue alumite hubs, rims, break covers and neck with the classic “Ride Tough You Little Boys” Stussy phrase. From forks to frame ends, these are all custom Stussy executions. Big thanks to Oakley for supplying a limited number of their super rare and legendary back stock of 1970’s “B-1B” grips.
Stussy – Stussy Canada Winter 2010 Collection
Stussy Chapter Stores in Toronto and Vancouver will be releasing the first Canada-specific collection Stussy has ever produced. Simply put, the Stussy Canada collection is designed by Canadians for Canadians. With an emphasis on classic layering pieces and timeless design, these pieces are perfect for the impending winter. The collection consists of: shirting made of Japanese fabric, basic fleece sweats, a knit cuff watchman and a Canadian hand-knit cowichan vest.
The Cowichan vest was produced in Canada by the legendary hand knit manufacturer The Canadian Sweater Company. Founded in 1977 and located in British Colombia, where the cowichan knitting method was invented, The Canadian Sweater Company specializes in hand-knit pieces designed to withstand and overpower the Canadian winters. Arguably the first logo sweater, the cowichan is undeniably Canadian. We took it one step further by branding it with our iconic Stussy Canada Beaver link logo. Nothing says Canada quite like the North American Beaver, our official emblem. We are extremely proud of this collaboration that will be made available only at Stussy Canada stores.
Accompanying the release will be an exclusive color way of the “Fitzsimmons” boot by our friends at Native Shoes.
